Deer Creek Seed started as a seed production farm specializing in seed oats, birdsfoot trefoil and red clover seed near Ashland, Wisconsin.

Deer Creek Seed Company was founded as a primary producer/conditioner of birdsfoot trefoil, red clover, timothy, reed canarygrass, and Kentucky bluegrass seeds. At this time seed was primarily marketed to the domestic and international wholesale seed trade.

New seed conditioning plant and warehouse built in Ashland, Wisconsin.

Growing to meet new demands, Deer Creek enters the dealer business. Marketing a complete line of forage and turf seeds to agronomy centers, retail farm stores and landscape contractors under the Deer Creek Seed brand.

Purchased the small seed division of Schultz Seed Company in Dieterich, Illinois.

Additional warehouse space added with high capacity large and small blend lines added to Ashland facility.

Launched deercreekseed.com to expand into new markets and reach new customers across the United States.

To accommodate growth a distribution center was established in Windsor, Wisconsin.

Deer Creek Seed celebrates 40 years within the seed industry!

Deer Creek Seed, Inc. headquartered in Windsor, Wisconsin, is pleased to announce that it has been acquired by La Crosse Seed, a division of DLF USA Inc.
