With our continued growth we are looking to add a Packaging Specialist to our Windsor, WI location, who will be responsible for blending and packaging seed orders as directed by the Production Manager.

What you will do

The ideal candidate for this position will work as a team  player to ensure the timely production of all seed blends. The nature of this work involves a dusty environment, we do however have a dust collection system in place. The main responsibilities for this position will be preparing seed blends by processing orders according to blend sheets, ensuring accurate labeling and temporary storage for finished products, and assisting with safe warehouse operations. More responsibilities include  pulling correct materials from the warehouse floor necessary for all seed blends, utilizing industrial seed blenders efficiently as per our standard operating procedure, as well as ensure accuracy of blends before beginning.  They will also be responsible for labeling finished products in accordance with sales orders and blend sheet information and stacking pallets with finished products. Occasionally assisting with shipment loading, unloading, and transferring of products within the warehouse and maintain a clean, organized work area. Good attendance is crucial for success in this position. 

What you need to have

For this position you must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent as well as a Valid Driver’s license and have reliable transportation. A candidate who has experience in the warehouse industry, forklift certification (or the ability to obtain a forklift certification), and/or has mechanical/electrical/construction skills is preferred. This is a labor-intensive position and the ability to meet heavy physical demands such as consistently standing, twisting, bending and reaching, walking or occasionally climbing stairs, and lifting 50 – 70-pound bags is required. This person must be able to read and interpret documents such as blend sheets, maintenance instructions and safety rules. Additional requirements include basic arithmetic skills and the ability to pass a basic math test or clerical ability test. This position will be working in a team environment or occasionally alone if necessary and must possess good communication skills as they will be interacting with both other employees and customers.
