UpTick low lignin alfalfa offers extended harvest management for the progressive, high quality alfalfa grower. Its low lignin genetics can allow for a 5 to 7-day extension of the ideal harvest interval, without sacrificing forage yield or forage quality. This variety has reduced fiber levels which can lead to increased feed intake and milk output when used in dairy operations. Higher protein levels and energy availability also allows your herd to retain body condition without sacrificing milk production. Ease of feeding and harvesting make this a top notch modern alfalfa for any progressive grower. In general, alfalfa is one of the highest yielding forage plants available. Where adapted, alfalfa does well alone or in a mixture with tall-growing grasses. Alfalfa produces best on well-drained soil with good water holding capacity and pH of 6.5 or above. It is long-lived and drought resistant.

This seed has a protective coating and comes pre-inoculated with rhizobacteria. For more information on Deer Creek's inoculant click here
