This position will be responsible for the operational performance of our production team at our Windsor, WI location and report to the Production Manager.
What you will do
The ideal candidate for this position will be the driver to installing Good Manufacturing Practices, LEAN principles, and safety in the traditional operation of the business. This is a direct, hands on participation position allowing you to lead the production team in accomplishing their daily production goals. They will be responsible in coordinating and executing the production schedule to keep constant peak performance utilizing your team. This position will be responsible for defining the operational vision and roadmap for the plant and using formal problem-solving tools to any issues that arise. They will also be responsible for training and supervising employees and creating and driving a production training program. The Production Team Lead will continually analyze systems and procedures for process improvements leading to the highest level of quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
What you need to have
We are seeking an individual with a strong manufacturing background, with 3-5 years’ experience leading a team preferably in a warehouse setting. A candidate who has experience in LEAN Manufacturing and experience developing Standard Operating Procedures and One Point Lessons is preferred. Knowledge of operational equipment such as blenders, conveyors, compactors and forklifts is preferred. Other requirements include proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, strong written and oral communication skills, and being skilled in conflict resolution, team motivation, managing morale and developing a team.
