Straight 8 Cucumber
Overview
This heirloom slicing cucumber, the Straight Eight, has a smooth, cylindrical body, known for its deep-green skin and straight 8-inch fruit. The ends are rounded and blunt, free from stippling. This variety produces generous and vigorous vines that are resistant to mosaic virus.
This cucumber variety is dual-purpose as the young fruits can be pickled when small or the mature 8– to 9-inch fruits can be sliced. The taste is sweet and mild.
Straight Eight cucumbers are a crowd pleaser, and an AAS winner (1935).

How To Plant
The Straight Eight Cucumbers should be grown in full sun, in hills, with each hill 4 to 5 feet apart. Vining cucumbers benefit from growing on a trellis, if available, as this type is a climber. Straight Eights will grow to about a foot high without trellis support.
Cucumbers love heat and will not tolerate light frost. For northern growers or those that want to get a jump on this summer crop, sow indoors at 1-2 seeds per cell at 3-4 weeks prior to transplanting. Thin to one plant per cell when the true leaves form.

-Bulk orders shipped by pallet (LTL) ship within 1-3 business days. When shipped to residential addresses, these orders will require someone to be home to accept delivery. The carrier will usually call ahead to set an appointment time for delivery.

-Orders shipped to PO Box addresses must ship via the United States Postal Service due to postal regulations. Large orders may require a physical address.

-Returns or exchanges are permitted if the product is returned, shipping cost prepaid, to the origin facility within 30 days of purchase. Credit will be issued within 30 days of receipt of merchandise.
-Product being returned or exchanged must be in the original, unopened packaging. No credit can be given for product that is opened or damaged, due to the nature of our products.
