Tim Bauer is the Vice President of Dealer Development at Deer Creek Seed. He started with the company in 1998 as the very first sales manager. Over the years, Tim has helped grow the company to its present size. Tim currently serves as both the location manager for the Ashland seed plant and the sales manager for northern Wisconsin.
Before coming to Deer Creek Seed, Tim studied and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy. Growing up on a farm and working for a landscape company throughout college helped Tim transition to working for a forage and turf seed company. Working for Deer Creek Seed fit perfectly with his interests in farming and lawn care. Since 1998, Tim has held the designation of being a Certified Crop Advisor by The American Society of Agronomy. He also served on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Agribusiness Association for six years.
Tim thinks Deer Creek seed is unique because of its vertical integration. This means that unlike other seed companies, Deer Creek Seed cleans and processes seed directly from the field and follows it through to the store or farm. He believes that this business model is what keeps Deer Creek Seed relevant in the world today.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys deer and bird hunting with his family and fishing on the big Lake Superior. Not surprisingly, his favorite Deer Creek Seed products are the Succulent Succotash Food Plot mix and the Plot Restore Food Plot mixes used for hunting. He also enjoys running, biking and skiing to stay in shape.
Tim’s sales territory is northern Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. If you have questions for Tim, please e-mail him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
