Sweet clover is a biennial legume clover crop. The first year of growth is called vegetative growth or forage growth. The second year is reproductive or seed producing. Sweet clover has a fairly poor feed value. Its primary use is as a green manure crop. Its yellow flowers are a favorite of bees.
