Tetilia Italian ryegrass is a rapid growing high quality grass used in short term rotations for livestock or as a cover crop. Ryegrasses are very cool tolerant and winter hardy. Ryegrass perminates very quickly making it useful in many mixes from turf to forage. Italian, diploid, intermediate and tetraploid are all varieties of ryegrasses. Italian ryegrass will not flower during the first year, making it useful as a cover crop for alfalfa.
