Bison Big Bluestem is a variety of native grass found primarily in the midwest and western United States. It is named after the blue hued leaves and stem it produces. It is very slow to establish and prefers fall sunlight and moist soils.

Formula for Calculating PURE LIVE SEED (PLS LBS):

( Percentage of Purity X Percentage of Germination ) / 100 = Percentage of Pure Live Seed (PLS)

Example:

( 99% Purity X 85% Germination ) / 100 = 84% PLS

1 Bulk LBS = .84 PLS LBS

Which means that 1.1 Bulk LBS is equal to 1 Pure Live Seed (PLS) LBS.
