Profuse Branch Root Alfalfa (Coated & Pre-inoculated) - Medicago sativa L.
With a 34/35 DRI, Profuse Branch Root Alfalfa is Deer Creek Seed's best alfalfa for heavy, wet, and high water table soils. Profuse BR is a third-generation branch-root alfalfa, combining high resistance to pathogens inhabiting wet soils - including Aphanomyces root rot (Race 2) - with the branch-rooted feature and the trifoliate trait. With its genetically designed branch-rooted trait, Profuse BR maintains more of its root system above the water table, better securing the plant in the ground during freezing and thawing soil conditions - and adjusting more readily as moisture stresses intensify. Profuse BR alfalfa is more persistent and productive in many areas unsuited for hay production.
